II International scientific symposium Comparative Law Days

, the Carpathian Institute of Law at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Ukrainian Association of Comparative Law, International scientific journal "Comparative Legal Studies" held on 22 - April 25, 2010 in Yaremcha (Ivano-Frankivsk region) the Second international scientific symposium "Comparative Law Days". Partners in organizing the symposium were Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, the American Bar Association. Rule of Law Initiative, International law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, International consultancy firm Rödl & Partner. Overall the symposium was attended by 235 scientists (145 of them - directly). Among them - 31 doctor of sciences, 122 candidates of sciences, 78 graduated participants and four students. They represented 14 countries: Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, USA, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Italy, England.

Comparative Law Days

International Symposium "Comparative Law Days" is unique in its complexity and multifaceted forum. In the scientific seminar "Comparative Law: Current State and Prospects for Development" (held for the fifth time) was organized round tables on the genesis, development stages and main directions of modern comparative law, as well as specialty passport project for the protection of doctoral theses "comparative law". In the scientific session of the Academy of Comparative Law " (held for the fourth time) were three public lectures reputable scientists from different countries: Chaba Varga (Budapest) "Legal traditions? In search of legal families and cultures”, Nicholas Foster (London) ""Mixed legal systems" in Arab Middle East, Vladimir Lafitskyi (Moscow) "Levels of Comparative Law”. Three lectures presented in printed form - O. Skakun, A. Salomatin, A. Saidov. In the scientific conference "Comparative Reading" (held for the second time) worked five sessions and round table on reforming pretrial investigation in Ukraine. During the symposium was organized more than 20 presentations Ukrainian, foreign and international organizations, scientific publications.

Direct participants of “Comparative Law Days” received certificates of attendance that in many high schools, given the special nature of the annual symposium, are recognized as evidence of teacher training. On the results of the event will be published collection of articles, abstracts and materials for discussion.
