Triumph of the Taliban or a new round of civil war. How likely is the Taliban seizure of the territories of neighboring countries?
The radical Islamist Taliban movement originated precisely among the Pashto people in 1994, and in 1996, after overthrowing the Mujahideen government called the Northern Alliance, it seized power throughout Afghanistan. In 2001, the Americans forced the Pashtuns to hide in northern Pakistan. The Taliban cultivate a form of Muslim religion that seeks to establish Sharia law as fundamental in the state and society. The Taliban are promoting the ideas that appeal to the Afghan majority, namely the peasants.
The 20-year American effort to create a functioning government and military in the country has turned into one of the most deafening failures in US history. The pro-American Afghan government fell after the Taliban took over Kabul.
The Taliban have several options for arranging Afghanistan. For example, to return society to the medieval way of life, or again, having entered into an alliance with some terrorist group, to begin expansion into neighboring countries, which will end in another war.

Триумф «Талибан», или новый виток гражданской войны. Насколько вероятен захват талибами территорий сопредельных стран?
Радикальное исламистское движение «Талибан» зародилось первоначально среди народа пуштун в 1994 г, а в 1996 г. оно, свергнув правительство моджахедов под названием «Северный альянс», захватило власть во всем Афганистане. В 2001 г. американцы вынудили пуштунов скрыться на севере Пакистана. Талибы культивируют ту разновидность мусульманской религии, которая стремится установить законы шариата как основные в государстве и обществе. Талибы продвигают те идеи, которые нравятся афганскому большинству, а именно – крестьянам. 20-летние усилия американцев по созданию в стране дееспособного правительства
и армии обернулись одним из самых оглушительных провалов в истории США. Проамериканское афганское правительство пало после захвата Кабула талибами в августе 2021 г. У талибов есть несколько вариантов обустройства Афганистана. Например, вернуть общество к средневековому укладу и установить антигуманную систему власти, хотя это может расколоть общество, вызвав новый виток гражданской войны. Другой вариант развития событий – экспансия в соседние страны в союзе с террористическими группировками, что вызовет в регионе большую войну.
